I'm working like a demon...can you believe that? Until I get this database under control I have a feeling that my dream of working just a few minimal hours is just that...a dream. I got to get this wild thing under control!!
On different note...I'm reading a new book and I'm totally in love with the author, Deepak Chopra. I'll be posting quotes over the next few days with some short thoughts...as we all know I love to do!
From Deepak Chopra's Book of Secrets:
"you are part of every event that is happening now, has ever happened, or ever will happen."
This is a radical and yet true thought. You are here because of everything that's ever happened in the past and you will influence everything in the future. It's an extreme thought of the butterfly effect.
"Your purpose in life is to help creation to expand and grow."
I agree with this...and I'm not talking about procreation. I'm a firm believer that my purpose on this planet is to make a difference, to make some little thing better and by that, make change for the future.
"If someone asked me how to prove that there is really a mystery of life, the simplest proof would be just this enormous separation between deep reality and everyday existence."
True, true...
"Ever since you and I were born, we've had a constant stream of clues hinting at another world inside ourselves."
To me, this is how I feel God. I don't understand being able to acknowledge this inner stream and think that it is anything other than God.

A Rush
WOW! WOW! WOW! I had a meetup today for Pomeranians and as I was leaving the site I saw the ex (Brian) with another girl. WOW! At first my heart raced, my stomach attempted to empty and I felt entirely dizzy all over. Then it went away and I realized that I wasn't even hurt by it. I was shocked, yes...a little amazed perhaps...but okay.
I guess I feel okay because even looking at him with someone else I didn't see him. He wasn't the person I remember him being at all and I was reminded of what our relationship was not. I was reminded that everything about our time together wasn't real. Our every moment wasn't what I thought it was. It was odd...it was like staring at your own life from the outside.
Bits of the rush are still with me, like that feeling of utter nausea, of wanting to vomit and wanting to take form in the fetal position and just close your eyes.
Elisha once told me, what you need to realize is that when he dumped you, it really had nothing to do with you and everything to do with him. She said "it would have happened no matter who he was with." She's right and I think because I understand this, it has made me able to see him with someone else and to think - I hope he's happy. I hope he doesn't treat her the same as he did me.

On a different note, I'm about to head out to my next event for the day and I'm excited! I'll let you know how it goes. Before I get there I need to find a shoe store and buy some black flats though...my outfit for my last event of the evening requires them!

The Great Tribal Leader Speaks
Oh Wise One, you speak such great words!
Last night I had a much needed conversation with the Great Wise One. I was frustrated with the idea of art. I had come to the conclusion that I felt this way because it has no value, it's meaningless. Art doesn't bring anything to the world that makes it better or makes a real difference. Art makes me angry because individuals (in my opinion) waste (yes WASTE) time on it. Time that could be spent making a real hands-on difference in the lives of those around us. In my free time, I don't draw or write...I save dogs because it makes a difference and when it stops making a difference to me, I will move on to some other form of meaning.
I called the Great Wise One to vent in the myst of my melt down. The Great Wise One brought me a light. She explained to me that it isn't the art that is beautiful, I don't have to like the art. It's that which is within the art that has meaning and value. Someone spent time created that something that is now being observed and it was meaningful to that one person who spent that time. The art is not the beauty, it is the subject that is the beauty and it is not the art that is to be immortal, it is the subject frozen in that art.
The Great Wise One brings such meaningful words to this world. I am moved and forever will see art differently.
